...WE'RE ON THE ROAD TO PROVEN EFFECTIVE
Were hard at work conducting a national field research study using our new measurement instruments for Active Parenting Now...and most recently we've added Active Parenting of Teens to the list! Our goal is to use the results of the study to get both of these programs listed on various funding organizations' "Best Practices" and "Proven Effective" lists.

As a result of what we learned in our first round of the field study, we have recently revised the pretests and posttests in order to help us show statistically significant change as a result of the program. We thank everyone who helped us with the first phase of testing...your participation is greatly appreciated, and has gotten us off to a running start!

We are now launching Phase 2 of the study. We need you more than ever! If you have an upcoming Active Parenting Now or Active Parenting of Teens group, let us include it in the study. Even if you don't have a group coming up, you can participate in the control group side of the study and earn Active Parenting products for your efforts. Click here for more information.

A New Book by Dr. Popkin
We wanted to figure out a way to help parents continue to learn and practice Active Parenting skills after a class...and then it came to us: Doc Pop's 52 Weeks of Active Parenting! This cheery and affirming book presents parents with a new Active Parenting idea each week. Parents read a short description of the concept, and then complete an activity with their families to practice the concept. This book will make a terrific parting gift to parents, or use it as a way to introduce parents to Active Parenting. Available just in time for the gift-giving season!

Active Parenting Posters
When Nancy Spence, one of our educational consultants, received multiple requests at the Head Start conference to purchase our colorful display photographs, a new product was born. A set of six colorful 11 x 17 posters featuring positive family images and Active Parenting themes will be available this summer. Use them to brighten your meeting rooms or halls and spread upbeat, constructive messages at the same time!

Two new Spanish Video Libraries!
Videoteca Paternidad Activos de Adolescentes (Active Parenting of Teens Video Library) and Videoteca Padres a Bordo (Parents on Board Video Library) are on the shelves! These videos are dubbed using Spanish-speaking actors in Mexico, and include Spanish-language discussion guides.
