a parenting course you cannot afford to miss: Active Parenting Online

You care about parenting and want your children to grow into healthy, cooperative, productive adults. You know they need discipline—but what style is right for you? You want them to succeed, but how do you encourage success without damaging their lifelong sense of worth? Most of all, how do you build the courage, responsibility, respect and other qualities of character that will make you both proud?

Join an online parenting class now!
For over 20 years, Active Parenting classes have helped millions—yes, millions—of parents toward happier, more satisfying families. Now the awesome power of the Internet brings this popular parenting course right to your desktop, giving parents like you the precious gifts of time! convenience! and more ability to nurture the "whole child."

For six weeks, you name the time and place.
Each week is a new lesson, and you'll have all that week to "click on and off" to complete the lesson. The six-week enrollment period allows you "24/7" access to all online activities, discussions and past lessons.

You’ll be learning proven Active Parenting techniques from the comfort of your own home!

It's so simple.

  1. Read the weekly lesson in the printed Parent's Guide.
  2. Insert one of the CD-ROMs, log in* and follow the prompts that lead you to the various features:
  • watch the entertaining video scenes depicting real-life family situations
  • participate in online discussion and activities with fellow class members and your group leader
  • review past lessons
  • take part in optional "live chat"**
  • and more

*LOG IN: You'll receive a special USER NAME and PASSWORD to provide online identity security and allow only you to access the content.

**Chats are the only part of the course that require a specific time commitment since they involve a live exchange among the participants and the facilitator. Participation in chats is optional, but can make your experience all the more meaningful and beneficial. For your convenience, they are scheduled both in the day and evenings so you can choose one that best suits your schedule. However, those attempting to access chats from government computers may experience problems due to security settings on the local server. If this happens, you may need to make arrangements to use another computer for this purpose.

Note from Active Parenting Publishers: Some families require more help than a parenting education class can provide. Active Parenting Publishers does not guarantee changes in children as a result of attending parenting classes. Our programs are educational in nature, not therapeutic. Throughout the program, parents are taught that change occurs when they (the parents) work to make the changes. If problems persist, please don't give up; seek the help of a social services or mental health professional. For more information, contact us.
