General Mills grants to be awarded in February
2002 by describing in 1,000 words or less how
your parent-sponsored school group would use the
money. Applications must be received by December
31, 2001.

Prudential Financial awards grants for
ready to learn programs, including
those that support parental involvement
initiatives. Awards are granted primarily to
organizations in Prudentials home state of
New Jersey, but also in Atlanta; Boston; Chicago;
Denver; Houston; Jacksonville, Fla.; Los Angeles;
Minneapolis; Philadelphia; Phoenix; and other

Grant for
grandparenting programs
The Brookdale Foundation Relatives as Parents
Program (RAPP) initiative began in October, 1991
and focuses on services to grandparents and other
relatives who have taken on the responsibility of
surrogate parenting when the biological parents
are unwilling or unable to do so. Each year
grants are awarded to up to 15 local
community-based agencies and 5 state agencies
throughout the U.S. There are currently 84 Local
Programs and 27 State Programs that are part of
the national Relatives as Parents Program. Click
