Team APTOG takes off

After two years of development, the Active Parenting Today Online Groups (APTOG) program has leapt to the proverbial “next level” with the naming of long time Active Parenting employee Cathy Daughtridge as Online Groups Manager. Cathy will be heading up a team of administrators and consultants who will work together to spread the word about APTOG and ensure that the classes run smoothly.

Cathy is one of Active Parenting’s “old timers.” She joined APP’s Accounting Department in 1996 as Controller, moving to the position of Sales Manager in 2000. At the same time she has developed into the company computer and Internet expert, making her a perfect fit for the highly technical APTOG job.

Assisting Cathy in the Online Department are two other versatile Active Parenting team members: Rhea Lewis-Ngcobo and Lisa Legros. Rhea works behind the scenes, handling the many details involved in setting up online classes. The very patient Lisa is on hand to offer parents and leaders technical support as they get started.

Meanwhile, longtime Active Parenting trainer and family therapist David Beamish is working to spread the word about APTOG while recruiting parents for classes.

“We’re looking forward to taking the ‘Online Show’ on the road,” says Cathy. “David and I are brainstorming ways to do presentations to parents at schools, companies and hospitals.” Cathy also will work closely with Product Development Manager Rachel Metzger.
