| In July and August, parenting
education leaders from all over North America and
as far away as India joined Dr. Michael Popkin
and Director of Training Susan Reed for the Training
of Trainers (ToT) seminars in San Diego and
Atlanta. Participants deepened their knowledge of
the programs while learning how to train other
parenting educators. One agency—the Center
for Family Excellence in Pittsburgh,
PA—jump-started its Active Parenting program
by sending four leaders to the Atlanta seminar.

Each 3-day event featured a mixture of
activities, discussion, presentations, and just
plain fun. There are two ToTs scheduled for 2003:
* July 10-12 in Atlanta (Marietta), GA
* July 31-Aug 2 in Malibu (Pepperdine Univ.), CA
