At the LTW, we’ll show you how to use our popular video-based programs to make your classes entertaining and filled with practical parenting skills that parents can start using immediately.

By participating in group discussion led by a certified parent education trainer, you will discover how to address the specific needs of your group. Plus, you’ll learn presentation techniques that will help you become a more effective facilitator.

These workshops will show you how to:
• Implement a program in a variety of settings
• Stimulate positive changes in yourself and course participants
• Enhance communication skills for top-notch effectiveness
• Provide meaningful encouragement to parents
• Improve group discussions
• Get more parents to sign up for the group

How to become a "certified" leader:
Once you’ve attended the LTW, you can become an Active Parenting certified leader by holding your first complete Active Parenting class and sending us the evaluations from your class, along with your self-evaluation. When all steps are complete, we will certify you as an Active Parenting leader. Contact the Training Coordinator at 800-825-0060 x120 for more information about certification.

Of course, you may continue to hold parenting classes even if you choose not to become certified.

Earn NBCC credit
Active Parenting Publishers is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education units for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC continuing education guidelines. Please contact your state licensing board for qualification guidelines.

Cancellation Policy
Active Parenting Publishers reserves the right to cancel workshops due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Active Parenting Publishers cannot be held responsible for non-refundable travel reservations.

If you cancel at least 15 business days prior to the Leader Training Workshop, all but $25 will be refunded. Otherwise, a credit will be issued for future Active Parenting training or materials (less a $25 cancellation fee). Dates and locations are subject to change.
