What's the difference between a TOT and an LTW?
In a one-day Leader Training Workshop (LTW), you will learn how to present parenting education programs to parents in your community.

At the 3-day Training of Trainers (TOT), you will learn how to train parenting education leaders. Upon completion of requirements, you will be authorized to conduct LTWs.


When and where are the next TOTs?
There is one Training of Trainers scheduled for the upcoming calendar year. Contact our Training Coordinator at 800-825-0060 x120 or training@activeparenting.com for details about registration, lodging, and other information.

How much does the TOT cost?
Register 60 days or more before the TOT and attend for only $449. . . that's $100 off the regular price of $549. Price includes 3 days of training, all workshop materials, certification, daily snacks and a group luncheon. A Leader Training Workshop, held on the day prior to each TOT Seminar, is an additional $149 ($139 early bird). Click here for more pricing information.

What will I learn at the Training of Trainers?
Each TOT features different tracks of learning, focusing on different Active Parenting programs. This year you may choose from 3 valuable track of learning:

Track #1: Active Parenting (experienced or inexperienced) - including Active Parenting Now and Active Parenting of Teens
Track #2: Cooperative Parenting and Divorce (Atlanta TOT only)
Track #3: Active Parenting for Stepfamilies (Atlanta TOT only)

In general, each track helps you to:
  • gain a deeper knowledge of the program
  • learn how to train leaders in the program
  • improve presentation skills
  • find ways to make the programs fit your audience
  • exchange ideas

What kind of people attend the TOT?
That's a hard one to answer because the audience is so diverse. In the past we've been joined by teachers, social workers, counselors, pastors, military personnel, corrections officers, psychlogists—even a mayor! Participants have come from all over the US plus Canada, Australia, India, Japan and more. The wide variety of professionals with similar goals enriches everyone's learning experience.
