
Train future
leaders of classes for divorced parents
As the effects of divorce on children become more clear, an increasing
number of judges is requiring parenting classes for divorcing couples.
This means an greater need for leadersand trainers like you
to teach them.
In this track you will learn the basics
of working with divorced parents, along with implementation for both
the long (16 hours) and short (4 hours) versions of this program.
This track is also useful for those who work with the Spanish version
of Cooperative Parenting and Divorce.
Track #3 will be led by David
Beamish, a marriage and family therapist who has been training
leaders and leading parenting groups for Cooperative
Parenting and Divorce since its introduction. David will share
what he has learned about helping these special families.
At the
Cooperative Parenting & Divorce Trainers track you will
. . .
- receive training
and authorization to conduct your own Leader Training Workshops
(LTWs)—and earn extra income
- learn how to implement
and publicize your LTWs
- get advice from
an experienced trainer about what your LTW participants
will need to know
- enhance your presentation
skills by working in small groups
- network with fellow
educators who understand the challenges you face every day
- learn how to teach
group facilitation skills that are important in any leadership
position (including dealing with difficult attendees)
- learn the absolutes
required for a successful LTW, along with ways to adapt
the course material for your particular audience
- become re-energized
in this uplifting and motivational atmosphere

successfully completing the Cooperative Parenting & Divorce
Trainers track, you'll . . . |
- be able to conduct
Cooperative Parenting and Divorce Leader Training
Workshops
- be able to charge
fees for your workshops
- be authorized to
provide certification to new leaders
- receive 2 CEUs
from NBCC
or 20 contact hours
- receive a DVD of
your mock LTW presentation for review

| To participate
in the ToT, you must meet the following requirement: |
- You must
be familiar with the program content prior to the ToT seminar.
It is best if you have led one or more parent groups, but
we make exceptions if you agree to lead a parent group after
you attend the ToT seminar to complete your certification.
Don't forget that you may preview any program free for 30
days.
