This Leader Training Workshop teaches you how to lead the new Active Parenting: First Five Years video and discussion program for parents of infants and young children. (Also covers Los Primeros Cinco Años, the Spanish edition of the same parenting program.) You’ll learn tips and techniques for leading parenting education courses in general, plus you’ll gain an understanding of the contents and principles of the program. This comprehensive workshop will teach you:
- Concrete skills to develop positive communication with babies and children
- How the “method of choice” can prevent power struggles with toddlers
- How different styles of parenting affect the way a child reacts
- The five goals of a child’s behavior
- Teaching non-violent discipline for young children
